I have also checked the firewall is not the problem just in case. I have plugged the dangle into the computer itself, not via a hub. I have tried the device on three different computers, all win 10. The dump1090 window is text, so you can use normal copy/paste of the text itself if you like and do not have to do screen captures. If you can, scroll up a bit and then copy/paste the dump1090 version number at the top of the screen.

Just to eliminate Zadig completely, I would install the Zadig WinUSB driver one more time to completely eliminate that as a possible problem. The most recent version is from 2014, but there were several other versions in 2014.

It is the Windows Malcolm Robb version of dump1090, but I can not see the version number since it already scrolled off the screen.

Zadig program source: Good Zadig tutorial: Good Zadig tutorial in first two posts at top: I understand that you might have already correctly installed the WinUSB driver, but this info might help others reading this thread. The links below have some great tips with good screenshots. I have had to run Zadig again when using the same device on a different USB port, possibly because the new different USB port was using a different internal USB controller. Normally installing the driver is something you only have to do once, but some users have had to install it again after a computer update. Here are a couple of Zadig tips when you look at this later after taking care of her! Remember when using Zadig you want to use the bulk interface 0 (not 1) and that you want to install the WinUSB driver, not one of the other options. Finally, please copy/paste the text that you are using in your batch file to start dump1090.

Can you confirm that you have used the Zadig program to install the correct USB drivers needed on your new Windows computer for the USB receiver? Can you do a full copy/paste of the output from dump1090 showing everything shown when it tries to start and gives the error? That will help. You have mentioned downloading the USB drivers but not mentioned the magic word "Zadig". Hi Mike, I have read your previous posts. I have already tried to use the RadarBox FlightStick but if gives no change. I guess I could use another receiver but I guess I will get the same problem. The computer its on is about to croak so I really am in need of some advice please otherwise I am afraid PP will have to be history.
